A Footprints Family Fund allows for a tax-exempt contribution from outside sources to be made and directed into a specific fund for the sole purpose of one individual or family whose life has been affected by cancer. Family funds may not be used in conjunction with any of our other Foundation programs. A family fund is built on the concept of people helping people to improve the quality of life in the time of diagnosis.
If you have a cause to share, please contact us and let us know. For more information about the Family Fund Program, please refer to the Programs section of our site.
Funds donated to the Foundation must be utilized for charitable purposes. You should note that under the IRS rules, once a donor has contributed to a charity, he or she relinquishes control of the funds. Accordingly, you may request that the funds be dedicated to a specific charitable purpose, either at the Foundation or any public charity, however, the IRS requires that the final disposition of these funds is to be determined by the recipient charity, in this case, the Foundation.
