100 Mile Charity Bike Run To benefit the Footprints in the Sand Foundation

The Steel Thunder M.C., Inc. will hold their third Charity run for the Footprints in the Sand™ Foundation on Sunday July, 29. 2007. The Bike run will leave from and return to the LaTrenta Field complex on Chestnut Ridge Road in Montvale, NJ. Registration will be from 8:30 to 10 am. The Police escorted ride, which will leave at 10:00, is a scenic 100 mile route through New York and New Jersey. Registration for the ride is $25/bike. Additional passengers are $10 each. A T-shirt or pin will be given at the time of registration. Free raffles will be awarded at the after ride party. This bike run promises to be a great event. The after ride party will immediately follow the bike run. Riders and non-riders alike are welcome to stay and enjoy the food, music and fun. This will be a family event and no alcohol will be served.

Directions to the LaTrenta Field complex: Take the Garden State Parkway to exit 172 (Montvale). Make a left at the traffic light and travel west on Grand Ave. Make a right at the first traffic light and travel north on Chestnut Ridge Rd. Ride through one traffic light and the complex will be approx. ¼ mile up on the right hand side.

22nd Annual North Jersey Cycling Classic: Presented By the Footprints in the Sand™ Foundation and Cyclesport

NJCC #22 - Second Longest Running Race in NJ

On Sunday, July 15, 2007, the FOOTPRINTS IN THE SAND FOUNDATION will co-host the Annual North Jersey Cycling Classic with Cyclesport of Park Ridge, NJ. This year marks the 22nd occurrence of the race, making it the second longest running race in NJ.
FOOTPRINTS IN THE SAND CORPORATE CHALLENGE
For the first time ever, there will be a Corporate Challenge. The four lap race will be a team relay consisting of four cyclists, who will each ride one lap. The sponsorship per team will be $400 and all proceeds will go directly to the Foundation.

Fight Breast Cancer with PV Hospital

Breast cancer is relentless. Each year, 200,000 additional people in America are afflicted – including 800 in Bergen County and 220 in Rockland County. It strikes women, men, all ethnic groups, and those otherwise healthy. Every 12 minutes, someone’s wife, grandmother or child is diagnosed with breast cancer.

With more than 900 new patients per year and the need growing, the facility is reaching capacity. The new Breast Center will be twice the size and serve 1,300 more patients annually.

Footprints at the Rink
The End of an Era…

With our fourth and final Footprints at the Rink event just around the corner, we can’t help but reminisce about the first event we had at the Rink. It was the winter of 2004 and Footprints was a little Foundation with big hopes. We wanted to hold our first fundraiser, but with little experience with events and very little money it seemed like just a dream.

That is, until Bob & Marianne Dill so generously stepped in and donated their facility to us. Without the expense and chore of finding a venue we were able to keep the price of attendance low so that our event could truly be attended by all. The Dill’s enabled us to meet and exceed our goals and we are eternally grateful for them. They are exceptional people who give to numerous foundations, organizations and clubs. The Rink in Montvale we surely be missed. It is a Montvale landmark and a safe haven for the children of this community.

Please support our organization and attend our fourth and final Footprints at the Rink. We are striving to make this year’s event the biggest and best Rink event to date. With your help we can make this dream a reality.

This year’s rink event will be filled with skating, live music featuring Dog Voices, plenty of food, our customary silent auction, a 50/50 raffle, skating characters, clowns & lots of surprises.

A Tour Of Italy

Perillo Tours has long been synonymous with first class excursions to Italy and its many historical treasures. Perillo Tours has teamed up with Paragon Federal, The Footprints in the Sand Foundation and several merchants to host “A Tour of Italy” at the Paragon Federal building in Montvale, NJ on Thursday, October 12th. All proceeds will benefit The Footprints in the Sand™ Foundation and The Tomorrows Children’s Fund.

The night will feature Italian wines provided by Winebow, various Italian hors d’oeuvres prepared by Valentino’s Restaurant of Park Ridge and Café Capri of Hillsdale, Italian desserts prepared by Bindi Desserts and Minardi Bakery of Paterson, and entertainment including music and a magician. Perillo Tours and honorary guest the Italian Government Tourist Board will be in attendance to answer questions about the many exciting travel opportunities Italy offers. Plus, Perillo Tours will offer attendees the chance to book trips.

In addition, Perillo Tours will raffle off a Roman Holiday Tour for two and Eurofly Airlines will raffle off two airline tickets to Italy.

Grand Opening of Plasker Family Chiropractic Center

On Tuesday, September 19, 2006 Dr. Jordan Plasker will be holding a grand opening of the new office of Plasker Family Chiropractic Center. The public is invited to attend from 10am-6pm and meet Dr. Plasker and his staff at their office. They will be scheduling free spinal exams (a $225 value). In return they are asking for a donation of $29 per individual and $49 per family which will be given to the Footprints in the Sand™ Foundation in its entirety.

They will also be selling tickets for grand prize drawings to be held on Thursday, October 5, 2006. Prizes will include a flat screen TV, Dinner for four and a day at a local spa.

Charity Wine Tasting At Citrus Grille

On Sunday, February 27, 2005 the Footprints in the Sand™ Foundation held its first Charity Wine Tasting Event at Citrus Grille in Airmont, NY. The night was a huge success taking in over $7,000 for the foundation. Everyone in attendance felt the warmth and energy of the room that night. It felt like a family, not just a community, was coming together to support something greater than any individual.

With each altruistic act came another, as the younger members of the board who attended, Amanda Villafranco, Alanna Smith, Andie Bruce & Brandon Cudequest, donated back all the money given to them after spending the night checking coats as the guests came in.

Thank you to everyone that attended the event and gave so generously to our cause. Your continued support is greatly appreciated.

First Annual Footprints In The Park

On September 26, 2004 the Footprints in the Sand Foundation held its second charity event, Footprints in the Park at Anthony Wayne Recreation Area-Harriman State Park. Everyone enjoyed the great weather, along with live music from “Jimmy and the Parrots” and “Dogvoices." MaDoRe Hair and Nails of Westwood provided reflexology and manicures. The day was filled with whiffle ball games, Frisbee, and football throws. For the kids pony rides and face painting, along with a moonbounce provided by Airbag Entertainment and a puppet show by “Daisy D. Dots” the clown. Fun was had by all who attended, and attention was raised for a great cause.
