MIKE SCHNEIDER CANCER SURVIVORS COLLEGE FAMILY FUND

Mike’s siblings and his long time friend together with the Footprints in the Sand Foundation have formed the Mike Schneider Cancer Survivors College Family Fund.

The donations that accumulate in this fund will go to help cover the cost of college tuition for Mike's two children (Mike 15 and Brenden 13). As they prepare for college the boys’ needs will be great, but with your help this fund will take some of the financial burden off of the family.

Once that goal is met, the funds collected will then be given out as scholarships to either children cancer survivors themselves or children of parents who have died from cancer.

Umbrellaed by Footprints in the Sand Foundation but directed by the family and friends of Mike this fund is a testament to Mike and the legacy he is leaving behind.

JEFF ROLAND, THE SULLIVAN FAMILY FUND

Jeff’s Story
In early March, Jeff Roland, an incredible 43 yr old brother, son, uncle and friend was diagnosed with a very aggressive lymphoma. He entered the hospital on March 13th for treatment and had a severe reaction to one of the chemo medications (it happens 3% of the time). He was in a medically induced coma for 5 weeks, with a horrible prognosis but miraculously, (doctor's words) after being told 4 different times to say goodbye, Jeff woke up and with much ahead is still with us.

He is still suffering from severe complications and in addition needs a corneal transplant at the end of the year, and intense physical therapy to walk without help again. Jeff is a great person and a true friend; he is thoughtful and giving and he is fighting this disease with everything that he has. Jeff still has a long road ahead of him and his medical bills are just incredible but we are confident that he will beat this.

Jeff s sister Doreen Sullivan, of Montvale, together with her family and the Footprints in the Sand Foundation have set up the Jeff Roland, The Sullivan Family Fund. All donations are tax deductible to the full extent of the law. Federal Tax ID#74-3075491.

KAYLEE RIVERS, THE DAVEY FAMILY

Kaylee’s Story
5 year old Kaylee Rivers, a very precious member of the Davey family in Montvale was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma on June 6, 2008 at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. The very next day, June 7th, she started on her road to recovery with her 1st cycle of chemotherapy. To date she has undergone 6 rounds of chemotherapy and radiation, numerous CT scans, MRI's and bone scans, all without a single complaint. She is a very brave and happy little girl who has now lost all her hair and looks more beautiful than ever.

As you can imagine, Kaylee still has a long road to recovery. We would greatly appreciate any help you could give so please make a donation in support of this special little girl and her wonderful family!

The Footprints in the Sand Foundation is now working with the Davey/Rivers family to establish a family fund for the benefit of Kaylee Rivers. All donations are tax deductible to the full extent of the law. Federal Tax ID#74-3075491.

How Can I Help?

Please help the Davey family as they prepare to run the New York City Marathon on November 2nd in support of their grandniece Kaylee Rivers.

The Daveys Run for Kaylee-Tommy, Sarah & Seton Davey are gearing up to run this years’ marathon in hopes of raising some much needed financial support for Kaylee and her family.

THE PERSONETTE FAMILY

CJ's Story
14 year old CJ Personette would have started freshman year at Pascack Hills H.S. this year, but was injured in a bicycle/car accident on Labor Day weekend. He is currently at Hackensack Medical Center, having suffered head trauma and multiple broken bones.

CJ continues to make steady progress. He is able to squeeze his hand and stick out his tongue. The therapist got CJ to respond to other commands as well and they say that they can see CJs healing and see his many other responses when their working on him. He still has a long road ahead of him but he is making continuous progress.

Together with the Personette family, The Footprints in the Sand Foundation has set up a family fund to raise money to help the family cover some of his imminent medical costs.
